Responsibilities
- Own, design, and implement significant scalable platform components for complex operational workloads.
- Build automation across AWS infrastructure and applications to reduce manual work, accelerate deployments, and improve resilience.
- Assess the broader technology ecosystem to identify and address scalability and reliability risks.
- Lead technical projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, share knowledge, mentor peers, and improve engineering practices.
- Develop Kubernetes operators and enhance service mesh infrastructure as part of Wise’s cloud-native platform investments.
Requirements
- Senior-level platform engineering experience is indicated by the role description and its expectations for complex technical ownership, strategic oversight, project leadership, and mentoring.
- Hands-on expertise designing scalable, reliable, and secure systems and implementing infrastructure and application automation.
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, cloud-native platforms, and service mesh infrastructure.
- Ability to solve complex problems, collaborate across teams, and contribute practical technical execution alongside strategic thinking.
