Responsibilities
- Conduct manual and automated security assessments of web and mobile applications.
- Identify, evaluate, and remediate application security vulnerabilities.
- Perform application penetration testing and provide reports with recommended remediation strategies.
- Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices into the application lifecycle and design security controls.
- Contribute to application security incident response and investigations.
- Ensure applications comply with security standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
- Develop security training for development teams on secure coding practices.
- Manage and configure security tools for continuous application security monitoring and analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Application Security Specialist or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of application security principles, practices, and common vulnerabilities.
- Hands-on experience with security testing tools and methodologies.
- Familiarity with secure coding practices and application security frameworks.
- Strong understanding of web application architecture and cloud-based environments.
- OSCP, CEH, LPT, GPEN, CISSP, or equivalent certification is advantageous.
- Analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and detail-oriented skills, plus knowledge of regulatory requirements related to application security.
