Base Salary
$90k - $130k/yr
Responsibilities
- Participate in solution design and translate business requirements into technical requirements, design documents, and specifications.
- Develop high-volume backend web services in C#/.NET and frontend web applications using Angular, TypeScript, and JavaScript.
- Write efficient SQL, work with relational models and SQL Server, and follow clean-architecture and service-boundary conventions.
- Create maintainable, highly testable code and contribute to automated unit and integration testing, Git workflows, and code reviews.
- Provide post-implementation and production support by monitoring application performance, reading logs, tracing distributed workflows, debugging code, and participating in on-call and release processes.
- Apply secure coding, dependency, secrets-management, accessibility, and compliance practices.
- Document work, communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, surface risks, and deliver production-ready software.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or work experience, is preferred.
- Preferably 2–5+ years of software development experience with strong proficiency in at least one key competency.
- Experience developing C#/.NET backend services and Angular web applications with TypeScript/JavaScript.
- Knowledge of SQL, relational modeling, and ideally SQL Server.
- Experience using Git, branching, pull requests, code reviews, automated testing, monitoring tools, and distributed workflows.
- Knowledge of secure coding, software dependencies, secrets management, NIST-informed security requirements, and WCAG and Section 508 expectations.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented agile environment and learn new technologies and business concepts in a complex regulatory setting.
- Ability to obtain a federal security clearance and meet the United States citizenship requirement for this Department of Education contract.
- Experience with an enterprise document-management system is a plus.
