Responsibilities

Operate shared platform infrastructure and drive the standardization, automation, and continuous improvement of routine operational workflows.
Perform newly emerging or complex operational work, use AI to make processes repeatable, and transfer standardized procedures to Technical Operations Support teams.
Provide technical support, investigation, and best-practice guidance to internal engineering teams using the shared platform.
Plan and implement solutions that improve reliability, operability, and Developer Experience in collaboration with application and platform development teams.
Collaborate with US and other global teams to establish Follow the Sun operations and common operational processes.

Experience designing, building, and operating services in public-cloud environments, troubleshooting issues across systems, infrastructure, networks, and applications, or using AI and scripts to automate operations.
Business-level Japanese communication skills.
Ability to collaborate with global teams in English through written and spoken communication.
Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills with engineering users and internal stakeholders.
Preferred experience with observability platforms, monitoring solutions, or APM tools; Terraform or CloudFormation; and automation or operations-tool development using Python, Go, JavaScript, or similar languages.
Preferred experience operating large-scale distributed systems and working with cloud networking, DNS, traffic management, certificate management, identity and access management, configuration management, or related platform technologies.
Preferred experience operating services in regulated or compliance-focused environments and standardizing and transferring work through BPO, offshore, or shared-service models.
A bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience, is preferred.
