Responsibilities
- Develop well-designed, testable, and efficient Java software modules.
- Ensure designs comply with specifications and that specifications adequately cover implementation requirements.
- Prepare and produce software component releases.
- Provide support for production systems.
- Create and review design documentation and provide feedback on test plans.
- Investigate alternative technologies and present options for architectural review.
- Support and coach junior developers.
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
- 5+ years of full-time professional experience designing and developing applications using the Java ecosystem.
- Strong background in object-oriented analysis and design.
- Experience with Spring Framework and JPA/Hibernate.
- Experience with asynchronous messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ or Kafka.
- Experience designing and developing HTTP web services.
- Excellent knowledge of SQL and relational database concepts.
- Working knowledge of Maven, Git, and continuous delivery principles.
- Experience with Redis, Elasticsearch, Couchbase, Hazelcast, EhCache, or horizontally scalable distributed microservices architectures is appreciated.
- Strong teamwork, communication, reliability, attention to detail, prioritization, and ability to work under pressure are expected.
