Base Salary
$180k - $220k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and extend the core ledger, including accounts, postings, account types, and ledger structures.
- Own the chart of accounts and reporting surfaces connecting engineering data to financial statements and downstream reporting.
- Develop balance verification, reconciliation, and proof-of-reserve mechanisms across on-chain and off-chain books.
- Partner with engineering teams to ensure products correctly model legal-entity ownership, ledger placement, pricing, and reconciliation paths.
- Design extensible data models for financial products such as margin, lending, staking, and tokenized assets.
- Review technical designs across multiple systems and collaborate with Finance, Data Engineering, and Product.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
- Practical knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, chart-of-accounts design, financial statements, reconciliation, and audit requirements.
- Experience owning data-model design for systems where correctness is a core product requirement.
- Strong extensible system-design skills, including schemas and APIs that support evolving requirements.
- Ability to read and critique technical designs across multiple systems.
- Strong cross-functional communication skills.
