Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to production-level alerts across multiple applications.
- Investigate production events across the technology stack and improve mean time to recover.
- Maintain live services by measuring and monitoring availability, latency, and system health.
- Scale systems through automation and implement changes that improve reliability and delivery velocity.
- Support CI/CD pipeline validation, operational gating, and deployments across lower environments.
- Practice incident response and conduct blameless postmortems.
- Analyze ITSM activities and provide development teams with feedback on operational gaps and resiliency concerns.
- Collaborate with global teams across development, operations, and product organizations.
- Share knowledge and mentor junior resources.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related technical field involving coding, such as physics or mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with algorithms, data structures, scripting, pipeline management, and software design.
- Experience supporting web-based applications, including SOAP and REST APIs, Tomcat, and Apache.
- Ability to write moderately complex SQL queries is highly desirable.
- Ability to debug and optimize code and automate routine tasks.
- Preferred experience with C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby.
- Interest in designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, ownership, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills.
