Responsibilities
- Build and maintain deployment automation, Azure infrastructure tooling, and pipeline checks for reliable, repeatable service deployments.
- Own software features through design, implementation, automated testing, rollout, and production support.
- Collaborate with Defender service teams to improve deployment workflows and integrate automation across clear ownership boundaries.
- Write maintainable and secure code and participate in design and code reviews.
- Use logs, telemetry, and incident findings to diagnose failures and improve reliability, observability, and release quality.
- Reduce repetitive deployment and operational work by developing reusable automation and solutions for shared service needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
- Experience implementing, testing, and debugging defined software features using maintainable code and sound engineering practices.
- Experience collaborating with engineering partners through design, integration, release, and production support.
- Experience owning component or subsystem design and delivery, including technical dependencies and cross-team integration.
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check.
