Responsibilities
- Own deployment, reliability, scalability, service availability, performance, and cost-efficiency initiatives.
- Lead production rollouts, emergency patches, promotion processes, change management, and quality gates across Dev and QA teams.
- Deploy and operate observability capabilities across logs, metrics, service mesh, and tracing systems.
- Analyze production metrics, optimize utilization, manage autoscaling, and improve platform cost efficiency.
- Perform incident triage and root-cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive reliability improvements.
- Participate in 24x7 on-call production support and operate production and staging cloud platforms.
- Lead monthly operational reviews with executives covering uptime, RCA, corrective and preventive action plans, and security/audit reports.
- Implement DDoS protection, vulnerability management, patch management, security agents, and least-privilege RBAC for production services and toolchains.
- Collaborate with Development, QA, DevOps, and Customer Success teams on reliability and product improvements.
Requirements
- 4–7 years of experience in production engineering, site reliability, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with at least two of AWS, Azure, and GCP, with an automation focus; certifications are preferred.
- Strong expertise in Kubernetes and Linux.
- Proficiency in scripting or programming, with Python required.
- Experience driving observability across logs, metrics, service mesh, and tracing.
- Knowledge of Jenkins, ArgoCD, and GitOps-based deployment toolchains.
- Familiarity with Postgres, MongoDB, Snowflake, Databricks, and Kafka.
- Exposure to Elasticsearch, Prometheus, Jaeger, New Relic, and similar monitoring or observability tools.
- Proven experience with production reliability, scalability, and performance systems.
- Experience working in 24x7 production environments with process focus.
- Familiarity with ticketing and incident-management systems.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management, compliance, security practices, and least-privilege RBAC.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka, Postgres, and Snowflake is advantageous.
