Responsibilities
- Provide technical and strategic leadership across enterprise-scale platforms, architecture, engineering standards, and technology direction.
- Own the full software development lifecycle from design through production support in a “you build it, you own it” culture.
- Design and build secure, scalable, high-performance distributed systems and cloud-native solutions on AWS.
- Develop backend services, web platforms, modern APIs, microservices, event-driven systems, and full-stack digital experiences.
- Drive CI/CD automation, containerisation, DevSecOps practices, observability, monitoring, performance optimisation, and resilient system design.
- Apply automated, unit, integration, API, performance, and other quality engineering practices.
- Mentor engineers and collaborate with product, platform, engineering, and design teams.
- Leverage AI and GenAI technologies to accelerate delivery and innovation.
Requirements
- Deep experience with .NET Core, C#, backend services, and secure distributed systems.
- Strong full-stack engineering capability with React, Next.js, Angular, backend services, and API development.
- Experience designing cloud-native AWS solutions using microservices, event-driven architecture, domain-driven design, and API-first principles.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD automation, GitHub Actions, release automation, and modern DevOps practices.
- Experience with observability, monitoring, SRE concepts, performance optimisation, and resilient system design.
- Experience with TDD, automated testing, performance testing, and quality tools such as JMeter and Postman.
- Familiarity with AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, Temporal, Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty, Splunk, Observe, and API technologies.
- Familiarity with AI and GenAI technologies including Claude CLI, LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, AutoGen, Semantic Kernel, agentic AI, and RAG architectures.
- Ability to provide technical leadership, mentor engineers, and influence engineering and technology direction.
