Base Salary
$122k - $181k/yr
Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain software components and applications for Audible.
- Identify and resolve software defects through code review, log analysis, metrics examination, debugging, and troubleshooting.
- Write maintainable and scalable code as part of an agile engineering team.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to design, develop, test, and launch customer-centric software.
- Apply computer science, engineering, and analysis principles to solve moderate-scale problems.
- Improve testability, operational excellence, and documentation for owned software components.
- Manage data classification, storage, and handling according to company policies.
- Participate in interviews and mentor fellow engineers.
Requirements
- Experience with at least one general-purpose programming language such as Java, Python, C++, C#, Go, Rust, or TypeScript.
- Experience with data structure implementation, basic algorithm development, and/or object-oriented design principles.
- Currently enrolled in or graduated from a bachelor’s or graduate degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related STEM field.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Preferred: previous technical internship or demonstrated project experience.
- Preferred: experience with AI development productivity tools, cloud platforms preferably AWS, SQL or NoSQL database systems, open-source contributions, version control systems, or complex-system debugging.
- Preferred: ability to learn and adapt quickly, basic software development lifecycle understanding, strong problem-solving and analytical skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.
