Responsibilities
- Design and implement backend services and REST/GraphQL APIs in Node.js/TypeScript.
- Own features end-to-end, including design, coding, tests, code reviews, and production rollout.
- Model data and optimize queries in MongoDB; use Redis for caching.
- Containerize and deploy applications using Docker/Kubernetes; automate with CI/CD.
- Monitor and troubleshoot applications using logs, metrics, and traces.
- Collaborate with Product/Engineering teams to estimate and deliver work on time.
- Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to post-incident reviews.
Requirements
- 2+ years of software engineering experience with backend services in Node.js/TypeScript.
- Hands-on experience with NestJS/Express/Fastify and strong API fundamentals.
- Practical experience with MongoDB and Redis.
- Cloud experience on GCP or AWS; familiarity with Docker and basic Kubernetes.
- Testing skills with Jest/Playwright/Cypress and solid debugging abilities.
- Working knowledge of observability concepts and basic SLOs.
- Good communication and collaboration skills with a focus on clean, secure code.
