Base Salary
$197k - $225k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead a portfolio of technology projects and a team of developers building distributed microservices and full-stack systems.
- Develop cloud-based solutions that address regulatory needs and deliver customer-facing financial experiences.
- Use programming languages, databases, container orchestration services, and AWS tools to build software solutions.
- Provide technical leadership across Agile teams and establish standards for design, development, and operational excellence.
- Partner with architects to define service boundaries, integration patterns, and reusable frameworks.
- Identify opportunities for refactoring, technical-debt reduction, and distributed-system performance improvement.
- Mentor engineers, participate in technology communities, and influence long-term technology strategy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field.
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience; internship experience does not apply.
- At least 2 years of experience with public cloud platforms, cloud-based productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred experience includes 7+ years coding with multiple listed languages, 3+ years with databases and cloud technologies, and 4+ years contributing to open-source frameworks.
- Preferred experience includes front-end JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks, synchronous and asynchronous APIs, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, automated testing frameworks, and Git-based version control.
- Preferred experience includes troubleshooting cloud environments, using observability to optimize distributed-system performance, and leveraging modern AI-based coding tools and IDE copilots.
- Preferred experience includes mentoring engineers, leading cross-functional engineering efforts, establishing coding standards and design patterns, and driving large-scale technical initiatives.
