Base Salary
$144k - $194k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build ground-up applications, tools, features, and services for AWS Activate startup customers.
- Design and develop scalable, reliable, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software systems.
- Develop experiences for Startups.AWS and the Activate Console, including credit applications, status tracking, recommendations, cost optimization, and customer self-service.
- Build internal workflows for credit approvals, provider campaigns, credit issuance and modification, fraud prevention, notifications, and operational processing.
- Collaborate on customer experience, usability, performance, availability, and feature development at global scale.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience in software design or architecture, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- At least 1 year of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
- At least 1 year of experience designing and developing large-scale software applications, tools, systems, or services using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
- At least 1 year of object-oriented design experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a related field.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: at least 3 years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: master’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
- Preferred: knowledge of machine learning and LLM fundamentals, including transformer architecture, training and inference lifecycles, and optimization techniques.
- Preferred: experience delivering customer self-service tools or automated service management and optimization.
