Base Salary
$187k - $272k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build new customer-facing features for high-impact enterprise customers.
- Develop production-grade frontend experiences with React and TypeScript.
- Design and implement backend APIs, services, data flows, and integrations.
- Contribute to platform scaling and service-oriented architecture initiatives.
- Lead complex projects independently from discovery through launch and iteration.
- Coordinate cross-team dependencies and drive technical decisions to closure.
- Collaborate with Product, Design, ML engineering, and other squads.
- Review implementation plans and pull requests.
- Mentor and coach other team members.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for business-critical alerts.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software engineering experience at a SaaS or technology company.
- Track record of delivering high-quality customer-facing products.
- Proven success in a fast-moving 0-to-1 product environment with evolving requirements.
- Significant experience building complex production-grade user interfaces with React and TypeScript or similar technologies.
- Experience with state management, routing, forms, asynchronous data fetching, component libraries, and design systems.
- Strong backend experience designing and implementing APIs in Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or a similar web framework.
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL and with schema and query performance.
- Experience building and operating service-oriented or microservice architectures across system and team boundaries.
- Ability to lead complex projects independently and coordinate cross-team dependencies.
- Experience with customer-facing AI or LLM-powered products is preferred.
- Authorized to work lawfully in the United States; Calendly does not provide immigration sponsorship.
