Responsibilities
- Design and develop microservices and integrate new features into Portworx products.
- Perform design, development, unit and functional testing, code reviews, documentation, continuous integration, and continuous deployment.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to take solutions from initial design through production.
- Own design and development activities, incorporate customer feedback, and address issues found in testing and customer deployments.
- Design and operate scalable microservices in distributed system architectures.
- Experiment with new technologies to develop innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of experience designing, developing, and testing product components using Go, C++, or Java, with Go preferred.
- Understanding of microservices architecture and scalable platforms.
- Experience designing and implementing testable, maintainable, production-grade microservices and continuous integration.
- Experience working with stakeholders from product management through customer beta partners.
- Solid computer science background in data structures, algorithms, and software design.
- Willingness to work collaboratively and in an open office environment.
- Preferred experience with KubeVirt, OpenShift, VMware APIs, virtualization technologies, Kubernetes, containers, Kubernetes control-plane development, and production telemetry systems.
