Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and modernize enterprise-scale OTC Collateral Administration solutions across margin, dispute, settlement, and agreement management workflows.
- Build backend services, workflow engines, full-stack applications, and integrations with internal systems and external collateral infrastructure providers.
- Own technical design for collateral administration workflow applications, including extensibility and resiliency of external vendor integrations.
- Use AI-assisted engineering tools such as Windsurf and Claude to accelerate development and improve code quality.
- Mentor engineers and guide focused engineering pods while providing execution leadership without direct management responsibility.
- Partner with Product and Middle Office Operations to translate business needs into scalable, production-ready solutions.
- Establish and uphold standards for software delivery, testing, performance engineering, and platform reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of hands-on software engineering experience with deep full-stack expertise.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring, Spring Boot, microservices, event-driven architectures, and Oracle Database.
- Experience with REST APIs and integrating external service providers, including pricing or calculation engines through MQ and API channels.
- Working knowledge of modern frontend frameworks such as React or Angular.
- Hands-on experience with AI-driven developer tools such as Windsurf, Claude, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud platforms, containerization, CI/CD pipelines, and modern DevOps practices.
- Ability to mentor engineers and guide pod-level execution without direct reporting lines.
- Ability to quickly develop domain knowledge of derivatives data, workflows, and end-to-end process flows.
