Base Salary
$110k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead technical strategy and execution across multiple domains, including technical roadmaps and enterprise engineering capabilities.
- Design, build, and improve high-performance, low-maintenance, zero-downtime full-stack applications, platforms, microservices, and SaaS products.
- Develop and evaluate production LLM, generative AI, intelligent automation, agent, retrieval-augmented generation, and hybrid solutions.
- Design resilient event-driven, messaging-based, API, and asynchronous workflows for multi-step AI processes at scale.
- Collaborate with product managers, customers, and engineering teams to solve complex problems and influence product direction.
- Mentor engineers, coach technical communities, educate executives, and share engineering best practices.
- Ensure solution quality, usability, performance, operational outcomes, cost forecasting, and continuous improvement.
- Apply automated, regression, and evaluation testing to deterministic and non-deterministic AI components.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience.
- 10+ years of full-stack development experience using Java, C#, Python, or Go, including client-side and server-side frameworks.
- 8+ years of architecture and design experience.
- 4+ years of applied AI, generative AI, or intelligent automation experience in production, or demonstrable ownership of AI-enabled platform capabilities.
- 4+ years of experience with AWS, GCP, Azure, or another cloud service.
- Extensive experience shipping LLM, generative AI, or intelligent automation solutions in production and selecting appropriate agent, retrieval, classical ML, rules-based, or hybrid approaches.
- Experience integrating AI into enterprise services through APIs, events, authentication, observability, agent architectures, workflow orchestration, vector retrieval, and knowledge/context design.
- Proven expertise with GraphQL, gRPC, Java, Python, Kafka, API architectures, event-driven architectures, AI inference, retrieval, and asynchronous agent workflows.
- Fluency in at least two modern object-oriented languages such as Java, C#, C++, or Python.
- Strong understanding of MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos, Cassandra, Apache Trino, and other open-source or NoSQL databases.
- Knowledge of developer tooling across task management, source code, building, deployment, operations, and real-time communication.
- Fluency in test engineering and automated testing, including evaluation and regression testing for non-deterministic AI components.
