Responsibilities

  • Lead QA technically on complex engagements and own test strategy and automation approaches.
  • Architect, build, and evolve scalable automation frameworks.
  • Solve technical problems involving test architecture, flaky tests, CI/CD integration, and environment issues.
  • Set technical direction for QA tooling, approaches, and account structures.
  • Drive shift-left quality practices across requirements, design, and development.
  • Design and execute UI, functional, integration, API, accessibility, and regression test strategies.
  • Mentor QA engineers through hands-on collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Use AI-assisted tools and explore innovative approaches such as self-healing tests and smarter automation.
  • Communicate technical recommendations and trade-offs to clients and internal teams.
  • Participate in client-facing demos, triage sessions, release calls, and technical discussions.
  • Contribute to a QA specialism and share knowledge across the wider QA community.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in automation architecture and technical problem-solving.
  • Solid experience testing in complex, transactional environments.
  • Proficiency in Playwright and TypeScript.
  • Experience designing automation frameworks from scratch and building their foundations.
  • Ability to work across web applications, native apps, APIs, backends, logs, and data.
  • Hands-on experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Windsurf and associated best practices.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD and how testing fits into modern delivery.
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum environments on complex, multi-stream deliveries.
  • Confidence communicating technical concepts to clients, developers, and stakeholders.
  • Preferred qualifications include experience building AI-powered testing capabilities, a QA specialism, work across distributed teams, and contributions to tooling, frameworks, or knowledge sharing beyond the immediate team.
