Responsibilities
- Deploy and maintain complex applications on Azure Kubernetes Service and Amazon EKS.
- Design and oversee Kubernetes control-plane, namespace, ingress, service-mesh, and workload architectures.
- Implement autoscaling and observability using application and infrastructure metrics.
- Harden container images and enforce security through network policies, RBAC, admission controls, and continuous vulnerability scanning.
- Integrate Kubernetes clusters with AWS and Azure identity, storage, secrets-management, networking, and other native cloud services.
Requirements
- Require 8–10 years of overall IT experience.
- Require at least 5 years of hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and managing enterprise production workloads on Kubernetes.
- Require deep operational expertise with Azure Kubernetes Service and Amazon EKS.
- Require knowledge of Kubernetes architecture, control-plane components, ETCD, Kubelet, CNI plug-ins, CSI drivers, and Kubernetes networking.
- Require proficiency writing modular Helm charts and managing multi-environment releases with Helmfile.
- Require direct experience configuring KEDA scaled objects, scalers, and custom metrics including Prometheus, Azure Monitor, Kafka, and queues.
- Require expertise in container security, base-image hardening, vulnerability scanning, Pod Security Standards, OPA Gatekeeper, Kyverno, Vault, External Secrets Operator, RBAC, and node-level isolation.
- Require strong knowledge of AWS and Azure services including VNet/VPC, IAM, Entra ID, load balancers, Key Vault, and KMS.
