Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, and maintain native Windows and macOS agents using platform-specific APIs and kernel interfaces.
- Implement kernel-level networking with Windows Filtering Platform and macOS Network Extensions.
- Develop Windows drivers and system components using the Windows Driver Kit and Win32 APIs.
- Create macOS system extensions using BSD networking and packet filter frameworks.
- Build cross-platform agent frameworks with Rust, Python, and Tauri/React user interfaces.
- Analyze and optimize network performance, packet routing, and kernel networking behavior.
- Maintain observability for agent metrics, logs, events, and traces.
- Debug production issues involving kernels, drivers, and system extensions.
- Collaborate on cross-platform features and ControlOne API contracts.
- Apply security, compliance, code-signing, and platform distribution requirements.
- Automate multi-platform build, deployment, and testing workflows with CI/CD pipelines.
- Document kernel-level development and contribute to operational excellence.
Requirements
- Advanced proficiency with the Windows Driver Kit for kernel-mode driver development.
- Deep expertise with Windows Filtering Platform, Win32 API, Windows system programming, and Windows networking architecture.
- Experience with Windows security models, code signing, and driver certification.
- Expertise in macOS/BSD networking, packet filter frameworks, Network Extension, and System Extension frameworks.
- Understanding of XNU kernel architecture, macOS security frameworks, entitlements, system integrity protection, distribution, and notarization.
- Advanced Rust proficiency and Python experience for system-level agent development and backend integration.
- Experience with Tauri/React, cross-platform build systems, and deployment strategies.
- Deep understanding of TCP/IP, HTTP, DNS, routing protocols, firewalls, and load balancing.
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK/Loki, Windows Performance Toolkit, macOS Instruments, network analyzers, crash dumps, kernel debugging tools, and system tracing.
- Experience with Git, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jira, and Azure DevOps.
