Base Salary
$173k - $251k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build AI platform capabilities powering product experiences such as predictive coding, multimodal understanding, agentic workflows, translations, search, and review.
- Develop RAG, semantic retrieval, agentic orchestration, indexing pipelines, query flows, tool-calling and planning logic, relevance tuning, benchmarking, and multimodal workloads.
- Scale production systems to support datasets containing hundreds of millions of documents.
- Collaborate with Product, Platform, Security, and DevOps partners to ship features in production environments.
- Provide technical mentorship, conduct code reviews, and become an expert in an area of the codebase.
- Triage and resolve product or system defects through debugging, tracking, and code changes.
- Provide on-call support by answering customer questions, triaging defects and exceptions, and carrying the pager.
- Contribute to internal and external technical documentation.
- Conduct technical interviews to help recruit and grow the engineering team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, or equivalent coursework.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as C, C++, C#, Java, Python, JavaScript, Go, or Rust.
- Knowledge of algorithms, fundamental computer science concepts, relational databases, API design, and user-interface development.
- Practical experience with AI/ML-powered systems such as retrieval pipelines, semantic search, agentic pipelines, document classification, or LLM-integrated features.
- Work experience using AI development tools such as Cursor and Claude Code for production planning, coding, and testing.
- At least four years of experience building distributed systems in the cloud with service-based architecture, frontend frameworks, rich web applications, and cloud software testing, maintenance, and launch practices.
- At least one year of experience leading or coordinating multi-developer efforts, including planning and technical breakdown.
- Familiarity with AWS, MySQL, PostgreSQL, vector or graph databases, and LLMOps is a plus.
