Base Salary
$272k - $340k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build ranking, targeting, and recommendation systems for Shop, Nitro, Server Subscriptions, and Gifting.
- Develop applied deep learning and recommender-system architectures, including two-tower, transformer-based, and multi-task models.
- Build ML systems from 0→1 and take them to production at scale.
- Create internal ML platforms and tooling, including shared data standards, targeting endpoints, and recommender libraries adopted by multiple product teams.
- Develop personalized marketing systems for lifecycle targeting, audience segmentation, lookalikes, and campaign optimization.
- Lead cross-functional, organization-wide technical initiatives and translate experiment results into roadmap decisions.
- Work on distributed training and large-scale data processing pipelines.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in applied machine learning, inclusive of a Ph.D. or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Strong expertise in applied deep learning and mainstream recommender-system model architectures.
- Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow.
- Experience building and scaling ML systems in ambiguous, early-stage environments.
- Strong product and business intuition with the ability to connect experiments to roadmap decisions.
- Experience leading cross-functional technical initiatives across multiple product verticals.
- Experience building internal ML platforms and tooling adopted by multiple product teams.
- Familiarity with personalized marketing systems, including lifecycle targeting, audience segmentation, lookalikes, and campaign optimization.
- Deep expertise in distributed training, such as PyTorch on GPU, Ray, or Anyscale, and large-scale data processing pipelines, such as Chronon, Spark, or Flink.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder-alignment skills.
