Base Salary
$217k - $303k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and evolution of global media processing and delivery infrastructure
- Build and optimize resilient backend services for video and audio ingestion, distributed transcoding, and CDN routing
- Partner with cross-functional and ML/AI teams on media product opportunities, recommendations, content understanding, and GenAI roadmaps
- Establish engineering best practices and define the next generation of media services, including strict SLOs and SLAs
- Mentor and guide multiple engineering teams while translating product requirements into technical roadmaps
- Use and evangelize AI-assisted development tools while validating and owning final outputs
Requirements
- 8+ years of professional software engineering experience with a track record as a Technical Lead or Staff Engineer
- Expertise designing and operating large-scale distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and microservices
- Ability to influence technical direction and balance performance, reliability, and business impact without directly managing engineers
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead large, cross-functional engineering initiatives
