Base Salary
$385k - $443k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and own integrations across Roblox’s IAM ecosystem, including SSO federation, SCIM provisioning and deprovisioning pipelines, OAuth 2.0 authorization servers, and token lifecycle management.
- Develop production-quality security tools and services that enforce policies at scale, replace manual workflows, and surface actionable signals.
- Partner with Corporate Engineering, DevOps, and Product teams to embed security controls into enterprise systems and developer workflows.
- Evaluate commercial IAM and security tooling and build custom integrations, connectors, and automation layers for Roblox’s scale.
- Collaborate with InfoSec and cross-functional engineering teams to advance Roblox’s enterprise security strategy.
Requirements
- 10+ years of relevant professional experience combining software engineering and security.
- Deep understanding of identity and authentication protocols including OAuth 2.0, SCIM 2.0, SAML 2.0, transaction tokens, FIDO2/WebAuthn, Passkeys, and SPIFFE/SPIRE.
- Experience with policy-as-code or authorization frameworks such as OPA/Rego, Cedar, or Zanzibar/ReBAC.
- Proficiency in at least one systems or backend language: Python, Go, or Rust.
- Proficiency with security-relevant system design including session management, audit logging, rate limiting, and secret storage.
- Experience threat modeling authentication and authorization systems.
- Understanding of zero-trust architecture and least-privilege access patterns.
- Hands-on experience implementing identity standards and debugging complex authentication and authorization issues at the RFC level.
- Ability to define technical requirements, evaluate commercial solutions, and make build-versus-buy decisions.
