Base Salary
$89k - $164k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain AWS infrastructure with Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Configure and manage EC2, S3, IAM, RDS, Lambda, Glue, Redshift, VPC networking, and CloudWatch.
- Provision and optimize cloud resources for data pipelines and analytics workloads.
- Develop monitoring, logging, alerting, CI/CD, and deployment automation solutions.
- Support infrastructure security through IAM policies, encryption, and network configuration.
- Collaborate with data engineering, data science, and solution architecture teams to address tooling gaps and improve infrastructure design and performance.
- Research, evaluate, proof-of-concept, and onboard new data and analytics platforms and tools.
- Manage Linux-based systems, including installation, configuration, performance tuning, troubleshooting, user management, security, scripting, and automation.
- Document infrastructure processes and configurations and collaborate with users, vendors, and stakeholders.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of experience in cloud infrastructure engineering focused on AWS.
- Experience with structured and unstructured data and storage technologies including RDS PostgreSQL and S3.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
- Experience with AWS data and analytics services such as Glue and Redshift.
- Familiarity with Git, GitHub, CI/CD, and Docker.
- Basic scripting skills in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Understanding of cloud networking, security, and cost optimization principles.
- Experience with Linux systems, shell scripting, system security, user management, and automation.
- Strong communication, collaboration, ambiguity-management, and requirements-organizing skills.
- Preferred qualifications include an AWS certification, exposure to Spark, Hive, Airflow, Control-M, StreamSets, Snowflake, Informatica IDMC, CDGC, Reltio MDM, SageMaker, AWS Bedrock, Textract, or MLflow, and experience in agile or cross-functional teams.
