Base Salary
$120k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Conduct customer interviews, review sessions, workflow mapping, and usability validation.
- Translate ambiguous requirements into user flows, UI patterns, prototypes, and high-fidelity mocks.
- Design and implement UI surfaces across Microsoft Word add-ins and the web application.
- Write production-quality React and TypeScript to improve the user experience.
- Define and maintain the design system, visual language, and interaction patterns.
- Simplify complex legal workflows, including contract review, clause analysis, playbook editing, and multi-document navigation.
- Identify UX gaps and drive improvements from concept through shipped feature.
Requirements
- Demonstrated product taste, user empathy, and experience designing constrained interfaces such as plugins, iOS interfaces, add-ins, or extensions.
- Ability to conduct lightweight user research, including interviews, workflow mapping, and usability testing.
- Strong frontend engineering skills with React and TypeScript.
- Experience owning both design and engineering for a feature end to end.
- Ability to create polished mocks and prototypes without a dedicated designer.
- Comfort working quickly with incomplete inputs and taking action to fix broken experiences.
- Experience with AI products, legal workflows, or highly technical interfaces is a bonus.
