Base Salary
$125k - $175k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure cloud-native architecture and infrastructure security standards.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code security controls, automated compliance scanning, vulnerability scanning, and cloud configuration hardening.
- Monitor cloud threats, cloud security posture alerts, and cloud-native security tools while conducting forensic investigations.
- Automate security monitoring and alerting through development and deployment pipelines in partnership with DevOps.
- Coordinate vulnerability remediation and evaluate system and application security configurations for continuous compliance.
- Design and audit controls against HIPAA, HITRUST, and SOC requirements.
- Participate in the full security incident response lifecycle, including containment, eradication, and recovery.
- Advise software engineering teams on secure-by-design cloud architecture and application features.
Requirements
- 5 to 8+ years of dedicated Security Engineering experience focused on AWS security, cloud-native architecture, and DevSecOps.
- Experience building and architecting security infrastructure from the ground up as the primary security-domain architect and functional owner.
- Experience implementing cloud-native security tooling such as CSPM and CWPP and embedding automated controls into deployment pipelines.
- Proficiency in Python, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker.
- Strong understanding of SaaS risk management, hardening processes, and DLP implementation and management.
- Experience in a startup environment with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Preferred qualifications include CISSP, CNAPP, or related certifications; experience developing new security tooling; experience with Wiz, Orca, or AWS security tools; SIEM and event management experience; and digital healthcare industry experience.
