Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain robust data integration capabilities for music supply chain applications.
- Build and support capabilities connecting music metadata repertoire systems with upstream and downstream applications.
- Lead medium-scope software solutions, larger features, and epics while contributing hands-on technical expertise.
- Fix high-complexity bugs and improve system accuracy, scalability, reliability, and efficiency.
- Design and integrate RESTful and event-based APIs and messaging interfaces.
- Collaborate with product management, quality assurance, design, and internal and external technical teams.
- Influence engineering practices, document requirements, provide feedback, and mentor and onboard teammates.
- Monitor and maintain applications using modern observability tools and practices.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience designing, developing, and delivering production-grade applications.
- Proficiency in Java and JVM-based languages, with extensive experience in Spring Boot, Spring Data, Spring Integration, and related Spring frameworks.
- Understanding of the full software development lifecycle, including continuous integration, automated testing, code reviews, and documentation.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and publish/subscribe messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SNS/SQS.
- Expertise in relational databases, SQL, schema design, stored procedures, query optimization, and data modeling.
- Hands-on experience with API design and integration, including RESTful and event-based interfaces.
- Working knowledge of OAuth 2.0, authentication, authorization, and access management patterns.
- Experience with AWS services such as S3, RDS, VPC, and messaging or streaming services.
- Experience with distributed caching, enterprise and data integration, application monitoring, and observability.
- Knowledge of object-oriented and functional programming paradigms, Agile environments, problem-solving, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering, electrical engineering, electronics engineering, or a comparable field, or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Experience with advanced AWS infrastructure, Kafka streaming, Apache Airflow, Databricks, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, or serverless computing is a plus.
