Responsibilities
- Design and develop traffic software features including DNS servers, Layer 4 and Layer 7 proxies, web caching, and FaaS runtimes.
- Build data pipelines and telemetry systems for data-driven traffic control.
- Develop API acceleration and networking services on a multi-cloud traffic platform.
- Solve performance problems and tune online traffic systems.
- Research technologies that improve the efficiency and scalability of traffic processing.
- Commit to an onboarding date by the end of the year and clearly state availability and graduation date in the resume.
Requirements
- Be completing or have recently completed a bachelor's or master's degree in software development, computer science, computer engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Have experience developing network systems in Rust, C, C++, and/or Go in a Linux environment.
- Be familiar with TCP/IP, HTTP/HTTPS, and DNS network protocols.
- Be familiar with microservice architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with AWS, GCP, or OCI, large-scale network services, high-performance load balancers, Nginx, Envoy, epoll, io_uring, Apache Traffic Server, Varnish, edge computing, FaaS runtimes, distributed or cloud service-based management systems, HTTP/2, HTTP/3, QUIC, and TLS 1.3.
