Responsibilities
- Architect and design AWS account constructs using AWS Control Tower.
- Implement organizational-unit and account-level controls, including service control policies and permissions boundaries.
- Integrate AWS Control Tower with on-premises Terraform Enterprise and Account Factory for Terraform.
- Design and build standardized Terraform modules for networking, monitoring, identity, governance, and core account constructs.
- Design and build integrations with shared services including Route 53, Direct Connect gateways, and API gateways.
- Develop and deploy solutions for complex infrastructure problems in production.
- Create cloud platform roadmaps and drive the continued evolution of AWS cloud patterns.
- Design integrations with Nomura systems such as CMDB and IPAM and observability platforms such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Develop microservices and serverless architectures for system integrations.
- Mentor junior team members, including providing line management, technical oversight, and workload prioritization.
- Analyze requirements and contribute to strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- 10+ years of overall experience working on AWS in a design or DevOps engineering role, including enterprise-scale AWS design, deployment, and implementation.
- 7–9 years of experience building or operating multi-account AWS landing zones and using the AWS governance suite of services.
- 7–9 years of experience developing with AWS SDK/Boto and Python.
- Highly proficient in writing Terraform infrastructure as code for AWS Cloud.
- Strong experience with GitLab Enterprise and version-control best practices.
- Experience documenting designs, systems, and process workflows in Jira and Confluence.
- Hands-on experience designing, testing, and deploying landing-zone modular constructs based on AWS Control Tower and Account Factory for Terraform.
- Experience with enterprise security requirements is a plus.
- Clear and precise communication skills.
- AWS Certified Solution Architect – Professional certification.
- Ability to mentor junior team members and provide technical oversight and workload prioritization.
