Base Salary
$125k - $150k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and deliver software and firmware for common processors and microcontrollers.
- Support launch operations.
- Collaborate with peers and customers.
- Bring up and validate devices that communicate with and fly in space.
- Analyze test results and investigate bugs in depth.
- Perform hands-on integration and troubleshooting of flight hardware and software systems.
- Manage the development, testing, and operational support lifecycle of created software.
- Adapt to changing needs, requirements, and challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, math, physics, or another scientific discipline, or 2+ years of professional software-writing experience in lieu of a degree.
- At least 1 year of software development experience with C++ or C.
- Experience with microcontrollers is preferred.
- Strong C++ software engineering fundamentals are preferred.
- Knowledge of computer architecture and networks is preferred.
- Familiarity with NXP microcontrollers is preferred.
- Linux and bash shell scripting experience is preferred.
- Understanding of verification methodologies is preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills are preferred.
- Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.
- Must be available to work extended hours and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines.
