Base Salary

$125k - $150k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design and deliver software and firmware for common processors and microcontrollers.
  • Support launch operations.
  • Collaborate with peers and customers.
  • Bring up and validate devices that communicate with and fly in space.
  • Analyze test results and investigate bugs in depth.
  • Perform hands-on integration and troubleshooting of flight hardware and software systems.
  • Manage the development, testing, and operational support lifecycle of created software.
  • Adapt to changing needs, requirements, and challenges.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, engineering, math, physics, or another scientific discipline, or 2+ years of professional software-writing experience in lieu of a degree.
  • At least 1 year of software development experience with C++ or C.
  • Experience with microcontrollers is preferred.
  • Strong C++ software engineering fundamentals are preferred.
  • Knowledge of computer architecture and networks is preferred.
  • Familiarity with NXP microcontrollers is preferred.
  • Linux and bash shell scripting experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of verification methodologies is preferred.
  • Strong communication, documentation, and multidisciplinary collaboration skills are preferred.
  • Must satisfy applicable ITAR eligibility or authorization requirements.
  • Must be available to work extended hours and weekends when needed to meet critical deadlines.
