Base Salary
$130k - $160k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and build thoroughly tested, efficient, and maintainable software across the full stack.
- Own features from concept and prototyping through production, releases, and ongoing support.
- Design, build, and integrate backend services and APIs.
- Contribute to shared component and testing frameworks.
- Use AI and agentic development tools for implementation, testing, refactoring, documentation, and learning while retaining ownership of software quality and security.
- Review AI-generated code and establish conventions and guardrails for its use.
- Select appropriately sized AI models by balancing capability, speed, and cost.
- Create documentation, wireframes, and prototypes.
- Provide software delivery support, including outside normal business hours when necessary.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 2 years of professional software development experience.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures, testing, debugging, and maintainable software design.
- Ability to work across frontend and backend systems.
- Proficiency with modern frontend frameworks and web technologies, primarily React, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS.
- Experience building backend services, integrating APIs, and working with relational databases such as Oracle or PostgreSQL.
- Experience writing automated tests and carefully reviewing code, including AI-generated code.
- Recent hands-on experience with AI development and agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, OpenAI Codex, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot in VS Code.
- Familiarity with AI model providers including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, xAI, and Meta, including their relative strengths and cost considerations.
- Strong communication skills, independence, teamwork, and willingness to grow.
- Preferred experience with Spring Boot or another modern backend framework.
- Preferred experience with React data grids and virtualization, including AG Grid, and with D3 or similar JavaScript visualization libraries.
- Preferred experience with testing and browser automation tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, Enzyme, Chai, Playwright, jest-puppeteer, or cucumber-js.
- Preferred experience with WebSocket integration, cloud platforms, containers, or CI/CD pipelines.
- Interest in or exposure to financial markets or trading systems.
