Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of membership and loyalty capabilities leveraging the Antavo platform.
- Own technical architecture, engineering standards, and key technology decisions across Antavo extensions and integrations.
- Design and build scalable, low-latency APIs, event-driven services, and integration layers for real-time and batch use cases.
- Integrate LLM APIs, AI services, SFCC, and Fluent Commerce to support intelligent consumer experiences and membership and loyalty updates.
- Ensure solutions are secure, observable, reliable, resilient, scalable, and operationally efficient.
- Drive architecture reviews, code reviews, technical mentorship, continuous improvement, and technical leadership across teams.
- Use automation and AI-assisted engineering tools to improve productivity, code quality, and delivery effectiveness.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience designing and building large-scale distributed backend systems on cloud-native platforms.
- 3+ years of experience leading a technical capability, project, or engineering team.
- Hands-on experience building and operating loyalty and membership capabilities with products such as Antavo.
- Strong understanding of microservice architecture and experience building eCommerce microservices.
- Expertise in backend engineering, API design, microservices, event-driven architectures, and scalable integration patterns using Java and Spring Boot.
- Experience with Redis or equivalent caching systems, Kafka or similar event-streaming platforms, and SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with database architecture, distributed data management, observability, reliability engineering, and performance optimization.
- Ability to drive architectural decisions, influence technical direction, and mentor engineers.
- Experience using coding agents, LLMs, or AI-assisted engineering tools to improve software delivery and developer productivity.
- Experience in eCommerce, retail, or consumer digital products is strongly preferred.
