Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Product, Design, Data Science, and senior backend engineers in a cross-functional product squad.
- Design backend services and independently implement scalable, high-volume data-processing solutions for fraud detection using TypeScript.
- Build and maintain secure, distributed cloud services in an event-driven architecture.
- Develop end-to-end features with increasing autonomy, from technical specifications through production release.
- Participate in technical grooming, architecture discussions, code reviews, deployment, monitoring, and production maintenance.
- Improve code quality, stability, performance, and engineering practices while proactively resolving blockers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience focused on backend engineering.
- Strong hands-on expertise with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, ECS, SQS, SNS, and DynamoDB.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Practical experience building and maintaining event-driven and microservice architectures, preferably with the Serverless Framework.
- Proficiency with DynamoDB and PostgreSQL.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, Docker, and container orchestration platforms including ECS or Kubernetes.
- Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools, with Claude Code strongly preferred.
- Ability to take user stories and technical specifications from inception through production release with increasing independence.
- Willingness to learn from and collaborate with senior team members and address ambiguous technical challenges.
