Base Salary
$245k - $307k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and evangelize technical vision while decomposing complex problems into practical, operational solutions.
- Ensure the quality of technical designs and implementations, including performance, scalability, operability, and resilience.
- Modernize monolithic systems into microservice architectures and event-driven platforms.
- Define long-term platform strategy, API standards, coding standards, and design standards with engineering and architecture leaders.
- Provide hands-on technical contribution while mentoring engineers and strengthening technical capabilities across engineering and product teams.
- Lead cross-divisional projects, architectural reviews, modernization efforts, and enterprise-scale platform transformations.
- Architect and operate high-volume, low-latency payment, distributed data, and real-time processing systems.
- Create technical communications, code samples, blog posts, and other knowledge-sharing materials.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related quantitative field such as Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, or Engineering.
- At least 7 years of experience in software engineering and solution architecture, enterprise architecture and design patterns, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- Preferred 10+ years of experience with web technologies, distributed HPC and ML systems, cloud computing, and data architecture.
- Preferred 10+ years of professional coding experience with languages such as Go, Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, Rust, C#, or Scala.
- Preferred 8+ years of experience with databases and database management systems and 8+ years with public cloud platforms, cloud productivity tools, or virtualization technologies.
- Preferred 10+ years of experience across the full software development lifecycle and with networking protocols and third-party distributed-system integration.
- Preferred experience mentoring senior engineers, leading architectural reviews, setting technical standards, and working in fintech or payment processing.
- Experience architecting, testing, and operating real-time distributed data systems and high-volume pipelines.
- Experience using AI-driven tools, frameworks, or modern software development practices, including agentic AI coding tools.
