Responsibilities
- Architect, design, develop, automate, test, support, and maintain software products and solutions for interconnection systems.
- Build and maintain scalable, highly available, high-performance, and multi-tenant customer-facing applications.
- Develop backend services using Java technologies and integrate products with other systems and interfaces.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, product managers, and technical project managers to define features, user stories, estimates, schedules, and development tasks.
- Perform design and peer code reviews, follow engineering standards, and advocate best development practices.
- Write automation tests, improve CI/CD processes, review DORA metrics, and support secure software development.
- Evaluate and recommend technologies for product features and platform goals.
- Provide status reporting and contribute to release management planning in a globally distributed development environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- At least 4 years of professional software development experience.
- Experience architecting, building, deploying, and maintaining customer-facing applications at scale.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and design patterns.
- At least 3 years of backend application design and development experience with Java technologies, including Spring, JPA/Hibernate, message queues, workflow engines, and layered microservices architecture.
- At least 2 years of experience writing test automation scripts with Karate and Cypress.
- Experience improving CI/CD with GitHub Actions, reviewing DORA metrics, and writing secure code.
- Knowledge of NexusIQ, SonarQube, Sonar Linting, DAST scans, DDoS attacks, defensive coding, and penetration testing concepts.
- Experience with PostgreSQL, Oracle, Redis, and time-series databases.
- Experience architecting and building large-scale, highly available, high-performance, highly scalable, and multi-tenant systems using scale-out architecture.
