Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and architecture oversight for multiple mission-critical distributed applications.
- Design, develop, support, and maintain scalable full-stack enterprise systems across clearing, trade management, and custody services.
- Own key application platforms and preserve system stability, operational resilience, and delivery continuity.
- Apply engineering best practices, documentation, collaboration, and AI-enabled development practices to improve productivity and software quality.
- Lead Java-based platform modernization, integration, and ongoing application support.
- Mentor junior developers through technical leadership, pairing, code review, and knowledge sharing.
- Ensure applications meet security, compliance, performance, and reliability standards.
- Partner with stakeholders on project timelines and deliverables while remaining directly involved in execution.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- 15+ years of software development experience.
- Significant software engineering and full-stack development experience in complex enterprise environments.
- Strong technical architecture experience with distributed applications, system integration, scalability, and resilience patterns.
- Strong Java skills and experience leading the design, development, and support of enterprise applications.
- Experience working in agile development environments and leading teams through iterative delivery models.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled development practices and modern engineering tools.
- Hands-on full-stack development experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular and back-end technologies including Java, Spring Framework, Oracle, and MongoDB.
- Understanding of cloud platforms, DevOps practices, and modern software development lifecycle processes.
- Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
