Responsibilities

  • Design and develop backend features, application components, and full-stack systems using standard development procedures.
  • Lead technical design, development, documentation, and implementation for cross-functional, multi-platform application systems.
  • Build well-structured, testable, efficient code and develop automated test suites and quality assurance procedures.
  • Support deployment, maintenance, troubleshooting, debugging, upgrades, and continuous improvement of existing platforms.
  • Create test transactions, flowcharts, layouts, installation procedures, operating documentation, and technical requirements documentation.
  • Apply security, privacy, risk management, secure coding, and change management principles throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Participate in code reviews, software integration, deployment activities, and engineering best-practice initiatives.
  • Collaborate with engineers, data engineers, business users, project managers, and global cross-functional partners.
  • Recommend improvements to application performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Complete required training and pursue development goals through learning platforms such as Pluralsight.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7–10+ years of software development experience with Java, Spring, Angular, Oracle, and LLM models.
  • Strong experience building web applications with Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and Angular 16+.
  • Proficiency in Core Java, J2EE frameworks, web services, HTML/CSS, Web 2.0, and MySQL or Oracle databases.
  • Familiarity with Docker, Maven, and Jenkins.
  • Understanding of CI/CD processes, code reviews, and secure coding practices.
  • Ability to work with APIs and experience with messaging technologies; Kafka is preferred.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Strong analytical thinking, organization, communication, collaboration, and adaptability skills.
  • Knowledge of business data, Asset Owner Fund Accounting, ERISA, and European regulatory environments is preferred.
  • Experience with LLMs and prompt engineering is a plus.
