Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-performance web applications used by thousands of users globally.
- Drive continuous improvement in engineering excellence and influence CI/CD pipeline improvements.
- Collaborate with software engineers across the organization.
- Mentor junior developers, review code and architecture, and promote software development best practices.
- Evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and best practices to strengthen the technology platform and development practices.
- Develop and maintain working knowledge of the commercial real estate industry, CoStar’s business model, and its technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person university or college.
- At least 2 years of production development experience with modern technologies such as React, Vue, TypeScript, Node.js, C#, .NET, OpenSearch, Kafka, SQL, and NoSQL.
- Demonstrable experience building and launching successful products and platforms.
- Experience with cloud technologies such as AWS and cloud-managed services.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum processes, continuous delivery practices, and unit, performance, and automation testing.
- Experience leveraging AI to improve productivity.
- Ability to understand the business drivers behind the software being built.
- Preferred qualifications include experience managing large enterprise codebases, code quality, and dependencies; React or Node.js experience; AI-powered product feature implementation; strong written and verbal communication; and commercial real estate knowledge.
