Base Salary
$167k - $230k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, maintain, and optimize the machine learning and simulation platform for scale, performance, and confidence in decisioning.
- Develop backend software applications and APIs that apply machine learning models to evolving business needs.
- Build self-service tooling for feature registration and independent model deployment by ML teams.
- Develop feature infrastructure covering definition, storage, serving, and offline-to-online parity.
- Design and contribute to simulation systems that reflect production environments while reducing simulation cost.
- Collaborate with ML, Engineering, Product, Data Engineering, and Finance partners.
- Mentor engineers on distributed systems, MLOps, and scalable architecture.
Requirements
- 6+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience building and maintaining backend software services and APIs.
- Experience with distributed systems or large-scale data processing using Spark, Databricks, Ray, or an equivalent.
- Experience with an ML platform or ML production path, such as training pipelines, model serving, feature pipelines, or a training data platform.
- Proficiency with some or many of Python, Kotlin, Databricks, and AWS.
- Preferred experience with Metaflow, MLflow, gRPC, Spark/PySpark, dbt, Ray, and GPU systems.
- Knowledge of simulation, experimentation, or backtesting systems is preferred.
- Experience building self-service or configuration-driven tooling for internal users is preferred.
- Preferred qualifications include quantitative reasoning, ownership, communication, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
