Base Salary
$195k - $270k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define the long-term technical direction and roadmap for the Pricing organization.
- Lead the design and development of systems that continuously optimize supply-and-demand matching in the borrower-lender marketplace.
- Partner with machine learning scientists to improve and develop models supporting core business metrics.
- Guide the architectural evolution of pricing systems and scale innovation across engineering teams.
- Resolve complex technical requirements and trade-offs while influencing product direction.
- Evaluate, prototype, and deploy technologies and frameworks that improve engineering effectiveness.
- Mentor and develop technical leaders while leading major initiatives from the front.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent, plus eight years of experience.
- Experience building highly scalable systems with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience building flexible, extensible, and consistent APIs.
- Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages, including Python, Java, C#, or C++.
- Experience mentoring and developing technical leaders and leading company-wide technical discussions.
- High proficiency with Python is preferred.
- Experience with A/B testing, gRPC, Kafka, microservice architectures, and large-scale distributed systems in AWS is preferred.
- Experience in fintech, pricing, advertising, or machine learning is preferred.
- Background in statistics, mathematics, or econometrics is a plus.
- Strong communication, collaboration, ownership, product judgment, and analytical skills are required.
