Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, manage, and optimize cloud resources, distributed computing systems, data storage, and GPU infrastructure for AI/ML workflows.
- Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, infrastructure engineers, and customer technical teams to support model training, testing, and deployment.
- Implement automation for infrastructure provisioning, configuration, monitoring, and operational productivity.
- Troubleshoot performance, scalability, reliability, and deployment issues across proof-of-concept and production environments.
- Ensure encryption, access control, vulnerability management, security, and compliance standards across the infrastructure stack.
- Advise customers and partners on advanced GPU solutions, Oracle Cloud value, workload migration, and successful cloud deployment architectures.
- Serve as a technical liaison between customers, core engineering teams, cloud services, and support.
- Document infrastructure designs, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting practices.
- Provide technical oversight across moderately complex initiatives, mentor junior team members, improve processes, and participate in candidate interviews.
Requirements
- Experience with scripting and automation using Ansible, Terraform, Python, and/or Kubernetes.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed-systems orchestration tools such as Slurm and PBS.
- Strong networking and security fundamentals and the ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues.
- Strong Linux administration skills across Oracle Linux, RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian, including package management, shell scripting, and performance optimization.
- Strong communication, collaboration, documentation, and customer-facing technical skills.
- Preferred proficiency in Python, Rust, Go, Java, or Scala.
- Preferred experience designing and managing infrastructure for AI/ML or HPC workloads and strong experience with high-performance computing and GPU systems.
- Familiarity with TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and Prometheus is preferred.
- Strategic thinking, large-customer business experience, technical leadership, mentoring, and candidate-assessment experience are preferred.
