Responsibilities
- Design and ship conversational interfaces and AI-driven experiences on iOS.
- Architect and build production-grade Swift features using async/await, structured concurrency, and modern iOS APIs.
- Lead context-aware experiences using behavior, preferences, and app state, with emphasis on performance and privacy.
- Use analytics, A/B tests, logging, metrics, experimentation, and validation to improve features and quality.
- Translate complex AI and ML capabilities into simple mobile interactions.
- Use Claude Code and other LLM-based coding assistants while maintaining a high-quality, well-tested codebase.
- Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional development experience and strong Swift skills building high-quality iOS apps.
- Deep understanding of Swift, the iOS SDK, Swift concurrency, async/await, Task, actors, structured concurrency, and modern GCD usage.
- Production experience with SwiftUI; familiarity with UIKit and interoperability is a plus.
- Experience with Combine or other reactive patterns and understanding of when to use them versus async/await.
- Strong understanding of iOS architecture, including patterns such as MVVM, Clean Architecture, and modularization.
- Experience with JSON, REST, WebSockets, streaming APIs, robust networking, error handling, retries, and offline support.
- Experience with offline storage, background processing, threading, and push notifications.
- Interest in new interaction models such as chat, agents, and multimodal UI.
- Experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code and GitHub Copilot with sound judgment about code quality and security.
- Familiarity with LLM-driven features, prompt design, LLM API integration, latency management, fallbacks, guardrails, and/or conversational UX.
- Track record building consumer-facing apps, ideally including App Store launches and iteration based on user feedback and metrics.
- BS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
