Base Salary
$120k - $170k/yr
Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic compliance technology initiatives from analysis and design through development, testing, deployment, and operational support.
- Develop backend applications and integrations using Java, RESTful services, SQL and NoSQL databases, Kafka, and event-driven architectures.
- Design and support scalable, resilient, maintainable, secure, and auditable distributed systems across vendor platforms, proprietary systems, and enterprise data services.
- Translate regulatory, supervisory, risk, and compliance requirements into technology solutions with traceability, entitlement controls, monitoring, and evidencing capabilities.
- Manage roadmaps, capacity, dependencies, risks, stakeholder communications, project plans, estimates, and delivery timelines.
- Perform unit, integration, and component testing; maintain quality code; participate in peer reviews and post-production support.
- Administer supported applications and environments, including monitoring, configuration, backups, authentication, tuning, incident management, and service-performance oversight.
- Support audits, regulatory reviews, remediation programs, control assessments, incident investigations, and timely issue resolution.
- Collaborate with Compliance, Risk, Data, Product, Architecture, Engineering, Infrastructure, Security, Operations, vendors, business analysts, and project managers.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of related technology delivery and software engineering experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, with specialized training or equivalent work experience accepted in the broader education requirements.
- Strong hands-on backend development experience with Java, RESTful services, SQL and NoSQL databases, Kafka or comparable message-queue technologies, and event-based architecture.
- Experience with big data, data analytics, AI/ML-related capabilities, cloud technologies, architecture, systems integration, data strategy, governance, and integration.
- Experience delivering regulatory, risk, compliance, surveillance, or supervisory technology solutions is required or preferred, with financial-services, trade-surveillance, market-abuse-monitoring, or global-markets experience preferred.
- Experience driving technology strategies and roadmaps, managing dependencies, executing backlogs, and delivering within Agile and continuous-delivery environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, prioritization, and stakeholder-management abilities.
- Knowledge of secure coding, enterprise technology standards, application monitoring, incident management, and operational support practices.
