Base Salary
$158k - $197k/yr
Responsibilities
- Architect, design, deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters on-prem and in cloud environments.
- Administer, maintain, and monitor the health and performance of Kubernetes clusters.
- Implement and manage Kubernetes networking and storage solutions.
- Design and manage Microsoft Azure Stack Local and HCI environments.
- Maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for containerized services.
- Drive Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Support and troubleshoot complex issues related to the Kubernetes platform.
- Implement and enforce Kubernetes security best practices.
- Automate cluster operations and deployment pipelines using IaC tools.
- Optimize Kubernetes clusters for performance and scalability.
- Develop and maintain documentation for cluster architecture and operational procedures.
- Collaborate with software engineering and DevOps teams for seamless application deployment.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies from the Kubernetes ecosystem.
- Contribute to operational excellence, including on-call rotations and incident management.
Requirements
- US Citizenship is required.
- At least 7+ years of experience in DevSecOps/SRE and platform engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with production Kubernetes clusters.
- Deep expertise in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture and operational best practices.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code solutions, particularly Terraform and/or Ansible.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
- Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
- Solid understanding of Linux OS and networking fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes security concepts.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.
