Base Salary

$158k - $197k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, deploy, configure, and manage Kubernetes clusters on-prem and in cloud environments.
  • Administer, maintain, and monitor the health and performance of Kubernetes clusters.
  • Implement and manage Kubernetes networking and storage solutions.
  • Design and manage Microsoft Azure Stack Local and HCI environments.
  • Maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for containerized services.
  • Drive Infrastructure-as-Code initiatives using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
  • Support and troubleshoot complex issues related to the Kubernetes platform.
  • Implement and enforce Kubernetes security best practices.
  • Automate cluster operations and deployment pipelines using IaC tools.
  • Optimize Kubernetes clusters for performance and scalability.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for cluster architecture and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with software engineering and DevOps teams for seamless application deployment.
  • Evaluate and integrate new technologies from the Kubernetes ecosystem.
  • Contribute to operational excellence, including on-call rotations and incident management.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • At least 7+ years of experience in DevSecOps/SRE and platform engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with production Kubernetes clusters.
  • Deep expertise in Linux administration and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes architecture and operational best practices.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code solutions, particularly Terraform and/or Ansible.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
  • Experience with monitoring/logging tools such as Prometheus and Grafana.
  • Solid understanding of Linux OS and networking fundamentals.
  • Strong understanding of Kubernetes security concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related technical field or equivalent experience.
