Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain enterprise applications using Java and microservices architectures.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, high-performance backend components and REST APIs.
- Build cloud-native, event-driven, and distributed solutions supporting critical business processes.
- Improve code maintainability, reduce technical debt, and optimize queries, data structures, and integrations.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, quality assurance, and continuous improvement of development standards.
- Analyze and resolve complex incidents in production environments.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and semi-senior developers.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of software development experience, including substantial Java experience.
- Strong experience with Java 11/17, Spring Boot, microservices, RESTful APIs, Swagger/OpenAPI, Maven and/or Gradle.
- Knowledge of Quarkus, reactive programming, event-driven architectures, Saga, Event Sourcing, and CQRS.
- Experience with Apache Kafka, SQL and NoSQL databases, and data structure modeling and optimization.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure App Service, Azure Functions, and Azure API Management.
- Knowledge of Azure Application Gateway, Azure Data Factory, Azure PaaS, and cloud-native solutions.
- Experience with CI/CD, code review, secure development, unit testing, and BDD strategies.
- Knowledge of OWASP, SonarQube, refactoring, clean code, UML, and software design.
- Desirable knowledge of JavaScript, Node.js, serverless architectures, AWS, Dynatrace, OpenShift, Databricks, Docker Swarm, infrastructure and networking components, and automated vulnerability testing.
- Financial services or banking experience is desirable.
- Strong technical autonomy, analytical thinking, communication, problem-solving, collaboration, technical leadership, mentoring, and results orientation.
