Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure BigID scanners and data-source connections, including scan profiles, scheduling, credentials, and performance tuning.
- Build, test, and tune BigID classifiers to reduce false positives and mitigate data-leakage scenarios.
- Use Python and BigID integrations such as Microsoft Purview to automate workflows and support zero-trust data-security frameworks.
- Translate scan results into risk-based findings and draft remediation recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and cross-functional teams in a Cyber Fusion Center environment to mature the enterprise DLP program.
- Train stakeholders on BigID dashboards and tools and monitor emerging data-security threats and enterprise impacts.
- Support incident-response playbooks, governance audits, compliance activities, and scalable data-protection strategies across hybrid environments.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in DLP engineering or data security.
- Experience deploying and configuring BigID scanners, data-source connections, scan profiles, schedules, credentials, and performance tuning.
- Experience with scripting languages, including Python, for workflow automation and integration.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate effectively with management, and train stakeholders on BigID tools.
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- Qualifying education and experience include an associate degree plus 10+ years, a bachelor’s degree plus 8+ years, a master’s degree plus 6+ years, or 15+ years of IT project and activity experience in lieu of a degree.
- Preferred qualifications include experience with Microsoft Purview, Trellix, or Tenable; incident-response playbooks; governance audits; hybrid data-protection strategies; federal data-protection frameworks; DLP ecosystem integrations; and complex compliance and privacy frameworks.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field and CISSP, CISM, or a related security certification are preferred.
