Base Salary
$144k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and apply AI/ML solutions to mission-critical embedded security challenges.
- Integrate AI/ML capabilities into existing tools and workflows.
- Conduct embedded security research, vulnerability assessment, reverse engineering, and hardware/software co-design.
- Develop prototypes, technical recommendations, embedded security requirements, acquisition guidance, and implementation security best practices.
- Provide engineering support directly to government sponsors and communicate technical approaches, risks, and results.
- Lead technical work, shape research direction, and mentor junior engineers.
Requirements
- Typically requires five years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree, three years with a master’s degree, a PhD with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience applying AI/ML or deep learning to real technical problems and developing custom domain-specific AI/ML solutions.
- Demonstrated experience in embedded systems security and low-level system analysis.
- Background in computer architecture or microarchitecture, operating systems security, hardware security, reverse engineering, side-channel analysis, or fault injection.
- Proficiency in Python and C/C++, with low-level or embedded software development experience.
- Experience with Linux, RTOS, kernel/driver concepts, or embedded operating environments.
- Ability to lead technical work, communicate with sponsors, and shape research direction.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. government security clearance and be a U.S. citizen for clearance eligibility.
- Preferred: master’s degree or PhD in AI, computer engineering, electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field; active Top Secret or TS/SCI clearance; and technical depth across transistor/silicon, OS, firmware, and application layers.
