Base Salary

$144k - $215k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership applying data analysis and AI techniques to sponsor missions.
  • Select, fine-tune, deploy, and evaluate AI models for forecasting, classification, triage, and related problems.
  • Design and implement data normalization and ETL functions for studies and analysis.
  • Define and execute hypotheses, experiments, and technical studies with small teams.
  • Propose technical approaches, prototype solutions, and validate mission value.
  • Document study and prototype results and develop approaches for transition into production use.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of AI experience with a bachelor’s degree, 2 years with a master’s degree, a PhD, or an equivalent combination of AI-related education and work experience.
  • Hands-on experience fine-tuning, deploying, and evaluating large language models and/or agentic AI.
  • Experience with Python and AI frameworks such as Hugging Face, PyTorch, and/or MLflow.
  • Ability to independently learn new technologies, methods, frameworks, platforms, and systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with full-scope polygraph and eligibility as a U.S. citizen for a U.S. government security clearance.
  • Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree, deployed AI/ML systems used outside laboratory settings, MLOps pipeline experience, and experience training large models in an HPC environment.
